Morlevent Simeon, 14, and his sister, Morgan, age 8 and Venice, 5 years, are not spoiled by fate: their mother has just committed suicide after the mysterious disappearance of their father.
orphan, the siblings made a pact: the Morlevent or death!
Their half-brother Bart, a young man but whimsical and endearing Josie, their half-sister, wife in need of strict motherhood, are initially reluctant to accept this strange siblings. But they will gradually focus on the lovely Venice, the shy and gifted Simeon Morgan, tearing up for guardianship. Simeon became seriously ill and will change the life of his older brother, first irresponsible and selfish.

This book moved me a lot because the author tackles sensitive subjects - the death of a parent, illness, adoption - always with a sense of irony that keeps hope. It goes from laughter to tears, as the characters do show character in situations dramatic. It is difficult to characterize this superb novel. I can only say that I am not indifferent to its output reading, as I felt implicated in the difficulties and moments of happiness of this family. This is probably due to the excellent writing of Marie-Aude Murail.

Simeon Morgan and Venice Morlevent are orphans recently. Their mother committed suicide and their father George was already long gone. Placed in a home, Bénédicte, social assistance, they are the "oath" never to be separated: The Morlevent or death. Simeon's investigation to locate family members Morlevent.

Result: Josie, ophthalmologist unprepossessing 37-year-old daughter adopted by Georges Morlevent natural, no direct link with the children and Bartholomew, a young gay 26-year fixed unemployed, living a life of debauchery are both summoned at Laurence The judge of guardianships. Obviously, both adults dislike and none seem ready to take charge of the children.

Josie, sterile, wants to separate the children to keep only Venice. Bartholomew, immature and irresponsible rather see the thing as a curse. However, many adventures will bring the children while revealing her true personality.

The first time he receives them, Bart pretends to be the children of the neighbor, Aimee. He refuses to get involved in this story that would put his already fragile emotional life at risk ... He then embarked in a whirlwind of lies and comical situations that stops abruptly when one discovers leukemia Simeon. It is the most terrible ordeal that will reveal to each other, Bart and Simeon, hitherto so remote. While Bart watches over his sick brother, supported by Professor Mauvoisin Josiane steals each day a little more girls, especially Venice. The situation seems so dire insolvent ...

However, the forgiveness miracle of Simeon, the hour of decision has come: Josie is an adoption application for both small and Bart gets guardianship of Simeon and joint custody of the girls. The "oath" therefore suffered a few hiccups but the decision appears to be the best and only possible, suitable for children and adults alike.

From 15 years.

The novel begins with a routine correspondence between two girls the same age (15 years). Tracey, whose life seems perfect, needs to escape and places an advertisement in a magazine to find someone to talk to. Mandy replied and soon realizes that her new friend is hiding something. An exchange of increasingly frequent and intense moved them. Secrets, lies and dark secrets are revealed in turn with coarse language and sarcastic.

This book is a square of violence with a patch of blue sky. It reads easily, but it is true that the language used sometimes embarrassed me. Initially, the two teenage girls tell their life stories, musical tastes, clothing, how are their boyfriends ... Then come the lies and from that moment reading comes together quickly: we want answers!

The author happens to mark a real thriller and it does so through an exchange of letters is even more interesting as the plot goes as and when the letters arrive.

The end of the novel is like a cut, implied. Here, violence of the novel is already such a hardness, that the end could not be explicit.

Although this book is recommended by the publisher for 12 to 16 years, it seems difficult to access for younger children. I advise instead to older adolescents.

The story is set in the indefinite future. The men no longer live on earth, but on clouds they have built. Tristram Drake was a young teenager living on a cloud named Blueberry, positioned on top of a volcano near the ocean, over 2000 meters. The Blueberry is a temporary cloud, built to hide Blueberry, the heiress of the kingdoms of the North. The cruel tyrant dethroned his father and stopped any attempt at insurrection and rebellion. When people learn that this cloud the hope of seeing their king and his daughter on the throne is forever lost, the village is attacked and Bilberry is kidnapped by the army of tyrant to be sentenced to death. Tristam, who knows nothing of his origins and destiny that awaits him exceptional, managed to flee with his best friend Tom, in an attack on a flying motorcycle. To save their friend Blueberry, Tristram and Tom will face many dangers and learn about the design of the Tyrant: control the weather into a weapon of war. To prevent this, Tristam, Blueberry and Tom will have to understand how storms, storms, lightning and the sky.

The novel is mainly composed of dialogues, giving the text a vivacious and a breathless pace. The action scenes are very well written. The only player to leave the novel and has only one desire, plunge them!

is a novel dedicated to adventure, which will unveil some mysteries. The reader is in suspense throughout the play, especially towards the end, it is obvious that history is not over and we look forward to more. The suspense is well done. However, I think I guessed most of the secrets, especially regarding the mystery surrounding Tristram and his father. But this does not detract from the pleasure I had to read this novel.

From 13 years.

In 1941, Joseph is a small ten year old Parisian who lives happily among the hair salon that holds his father, his six brothers and sisters, friends and school. But the Germans occupied Paris and gradually impose restrictions on Jews, wearing the yellow star. Joseph's parents, who fled the pogroms of Russia, fear the worst for their children. So they give money to Joseph and Maurice explaining that they must go to the free zone. Themselves must settle some business before leaving Paris. The two brothers leave and then after a long journey, they crossed the line and then join their older brothers, Henry and Albert, already installed in Menton ...

In A bag of marbles Joseph Joffo us his story, without exactly telling us the truth. However, this is his true memories. However, all is not told, which would obviously be too heavy. Moreover, what makes the book interesting is that Joffo is objective. At no point does it condemns the Nazis, nor the French working together, although this time of fear and flight is very difficult for a child of ten years.

"They are three. No, actually the big four with absent, the person who created the legend, invented language, and established the rules of life on Pallakch their secret island. The time of day and overnight summer, the boy and the girls bring the boy to stay in this mysterious place in the middle of the water. But to have access to this idyllic haven where the trees have names of sages, students must pass several tests of initiation. A late summer for a late childhood. The loss of innocence and no return to the country's serious and imagination bridled. "

To integrate the tribe of a secret island, the 'boy way" must perform tests because "being a member of the club does not just happen, everyone has had to confront whether the really wanted. "

Guided and accompanied by two other children who introduced the rules life of this mysterious island and Pallakch, the imaginary language of this strange place.

Presented as rituals, initiatory ordeals experienced by the boy in late summer are very similar to the rites of passage ... a journey into adolescence.

They all live in the shadow of "great" absent, protective and reassuring. With him, nothing could happen to them and thanks to him, the island became "the big island, the island of adults."

Dominique Richard's writing touches readers of all ages although this piece is aimed at young audiences. The short forms and interrogative alternate with longer stories ... to the delight of readers!

The world has become flat and rectangular, it is a remote control to see the world on television. And there, no choice: either you're in television or you're out. "

This is a little social satire or parody on the world of television ... A television that hypnotizes the viewer and invites all the passive physical, intellectual. Become "shackled" and dependent on the small screen, then the characters verge on the absurd.

Writing Philippe Dorin is not devoid of poetry, but exchanges are comical at will, often terse and replete with unspoken. The particularity of this piece lies in its formal presentation of successive frames, so singular and interesting!
